About Me:
Hi! My name is Stephen Lindsay. I was born in the sacred year of the Star Wars... 1977. I went to school for writing, so it's pretty much the only thing I know how to do. I love telling stories in just about every format available for sotrytelling, which could be just about anything. The idea of creating an entire world, or universe, or microcosm, and populating it with denizens that don't exist anywhere but inside of my own head has always appealed to me. Couple that with the notion that people may actually watch, read, or listen to my stories and make some type of connection to them... well... that's just amazing to me!
I started out wanting to write fiction, but my love affair with pop-culture soon moved me into the realm of filmmaking. I've written, produced, and directed several independent films since 2002. Then, in late 2006, I was bitten by a bug I thought I'd shaken back when i was a kid - the comicbook bug. I rediscovered the idea of taking writing and marrying it with seqential artwork to convey fantastical stories and ideas that no other medium can handle, and I was instantly hooked... again.
Now I write comics. My first comic, an anthology called Jesus Hates Zombies: Those Slack-Jaw Blues was self-published around Halloween in 2007. The initial small print run sold out within 2 weeks through nothing more than internet sales. It was then that publisher Alterna Comics stepped in and signed me (and the book). With Alterna on board, the anthology was accepted by Diamond Comics Distribution, making the book available nation-wide.
Here I am with the very first self-published copy of Jesus Hates Zombies: Those Slack-Jaw Blues
